Special instructions
Please email us if you have special needs animals. We need to know as much as we can about them before we ship them.
The rates are very simple, $125 per crate.
Cost is higher if we have to drive to pick them up for transport.
We do give multi-pet discounts, for instance, you want to rescue 4 pets, we could work with you on the cost. Please let me know beforehand that you are shipping more than one.
We can put more than one pup in a crate, but we tailor it to their size and weight as directed by USDA law for the amount of space they must have.
Every dog must meet USDA requirements and have a health certificate. Health certificates are good for 10 days. You can access the USDA web site to find out individual requirements.
We require animals to be vaccinated prior to being on the transport. Kennel cough vaccine is not required but suggested, the intranasal is the one suggested by my vet.
We spend at least two-three hours each week cleaning the bus. I pay people to clean it out and take care of EVERY surface. We are VERY meticulous and keep the animals clean and watered and also feed them lightly if they are going to be traveling very far. I require that they be walked and watered around the clock. My drivers know that the animals are our top priority.
Please make sure that your pets have their medical records with them when they travel. An ID or collar is also a necessity. Please include their name on their tag and name of a contact number. This is for your safety and the dog’s safety.
Each rescue must sign the log when their animal is picked up. Transport must be paid for before you pick up your animal.
IF, during the transport, a dog becomes ill, you will be notified immediately. If the dog/cat requires vet care, the rescue will be responsible for the bill incurred.
Please contact me if you are interested in shipping with us.
Thanks, Sharon
